work together with the hydraulic lift cylinders to raise and lower the carriage and forks.
Main Function:
The lift cylinder pushes upward, and the chain(s) connected to the cylinder and carriage
multiply the lifting height and force.
Major Type:
Mostly leaf chains (also called balance or lift chains), similar to ANSI standard leaf chain
series (e.g., BL, AL, LL types). Roller chains are less common for this direct lifting task.
Quality Required:
High tensile strength, wear resistance, minimal elongation under load.
Material used:
Alloy steel, often heat-treated and sometimes coated for corrosion resistance.
Equipment Maintenance:
Requires regular lubrication, tension inspection, and elongation measurement.
