Property of an industrial truck in which the load is
picked up and transported within the wheelbase area.
The wheelbase area is formed by the drive wheel and
the load wheels respectively rollers.
For narrow-track lift trucks the wheel arms are located
under the hollow forks, in wide-track lift trucks they drive
around the load.
In wheel-supported lift trucks the counterweight is not
needed, resulting in a lower dead weight as compared to
cantilevered construction.
