  Installation location‌: The installation location of electric fuel pumps is more flexible and can be installed away from the engine, avoiding the heat generated by the engine causing steam to be generated inside the oil pump, thereby reducing the risk of air lock. Mechanical fuel pumps are usually installed near the engine and are directly affected by the engine heat.

  Reliability‌: Since electric fuel pumps are not affected by the engine state, they are generally superior to mechanical fuel pumps in terms of reliability and control of providing fuel. In addition, the design of electric fuel pumps also provides better cooling and noise reduction.

      So modern vehicles often use electric fuel pumps because they offer better control and reliability. Compared with mechanical fuel pumps, they have obvious advantages in reliability and control.
