How long can a forklift last?

First of all, the design and manufacturing quality of forklift trucks is the basic factor.
Forklifts made of high-quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship are often more durable under normal
use and maintenance.
The actual working condition has significant influence on the life of forklift truck. If the forklift works under the
conditions of flat ground, indoor constant temperature environment and moderate operation intensity, such as
handling light goods in large warehousing and logistics centers, its parts have little wear.
The service life may be longer, on the contrary, if in harsh environments such as outdoor construction sites, the
ground is uneven, and frequent handling of overweight goods, frequent failures, life will be shortened.
Secondly, the maintenance level is the key to extend the life of the forklift truck, regular maintenance of the forklift
truck, including replacing the oil, filter, checking the brake, steering system, lubrication key parts, etc., can timely and
find potential problems, so that the forklift truck to maintain a good operating condition.
The Technical Specification for the Prohibition and Abandonment of Forklifts (GB/T 44679-2024), published on September
29 this year, provides a scientific and authoritative standard for the life definition of forklifts. The specification specifies the
conditions for banning and scrapping forklifts from many aspects in detail. The code will be implemented from April 1, 2025
Take the manufacturing date as the starting time to calculate the service life of the forklift. The life of forklift within 10 tons is
15 years, and the life of forklift above 10 tons is 20 years, and it should be scrapped after the service life expires.
